Flower Power

Photo of white flowers on a wild raspberry plant.

I don’t know how it’s been by you, but lately we’ve had pretty much perfect weather here. So, Sunday we decided to take advantage of it and go for a little hike. There’s a trail pretty close to us, that we’ve previously only used for mouse re-homing purposes.

We did not see any mice on our walk. In fact, other than a mountain biker glimpsed from a distance and a few birds we startled from bushes as we walked past, we had the place to ourselves.

What we did see were flowers, lots and lots of wildflowers. Here’s some:

Photo of white honeysuckle flowers.

And here’s a soon to be flower:

Because this is New Jersey and even our wild areas are not exactly untouched by humans, there were also some power lines:

But power lines in a very pretty setting.

They can’t all be perfect days, but we’ve had a few here lately, and Sunday was definitely one of them. Here’s to more perfect days for all of us!
