13 Years!

My life was a little different thirteen years ago. My first novel (which had a different title back in 2010) had been accepted for publication, things were moving along to turn my little manuscript into an actual book, and on an extremely hot June afternoon I finally met the guy I had been emailing back and forth with after we discovered each other on an obscure online dating site.

In those thirteen years Ron and I have weathered the storms that life has thrown our way. I’m so thankful that we discovered each other on that dating site. This past Sunday was a stormy day, so we had a quiet anniversary celebration here at home, but there was a break in the clouds long enough to take a sunny selfie outside:

A lot happened back in 2010, but definitely the best thing of all was finally finding my person. Of course, a lot has happened since then, both good and bad, but we’ve hung in there, and maybe aged a little bit along the way! So here’s to another lucky 13 years of happiness and adventures together.

I also wanted to say that I consider myself lucky to have met you along my journey as well. Whether, we’ve only met online or have gotten to know each other in person as well, I’m thankful to have you in my life and to have your support during this big adventure.
